• What is “TRANSFORMED?”

  

  TRANSFORMED is a church-wide seven session Campaign that is aimed to guide and grow us through exploring what the Bible has to say about every essential area of our lives: Spiritual, Physical, Mental, Emotional, Relational, Financial and Vocational.

  The world is shouting for our attention with answers to our relationship struggles, solutions to our financial trouble, and explanations to our search for meaning. But the world’s promises leave us empty and searching for more. God’s will is the only answer that promises to TRANSFORM our lives from the inside out.

  Through the spirit of unity, we are becoming a TRANSFORMED community.

  Every Sunday beginning February 17, 2019 through April 7, 2019 Pastor Alton Trimble will present a special message that focuses on one of the seven areas identified above. Purchase the “Transformed” journal and use as a guide to identify the area in your life you want to target. Use it to write down your goals. It will guide you through each week providing information and thought provoking exercises to assist with your transformation.

  Life Groups will meet every Wednesday at 7:00pm. Come expecting to be impacted through weekly teachings by Pastor Alton Trimble and our Life Groups discussion. Each week, we will cover one of the key areas of our life.

• How Life Groups Help You Transform

  

  God never intended for His followers to live the Christian life separated from the rest of the body of Christ. Our church provides an environment where people can share the real stuff of life and find support, encouragement, honesty, openness, grace and biblical trust.

  Being a part of a Life Group at GCFI is our way of living connected, keeping each other accountable and reaching out to the unsaved souls to help them come to know Christ and the great blessing it is to serve Him.

  Every Wednesday evening at 7:00pm throughout the campaign you’ll join together with your Life Group to discuss the area of focus. Join a Life Group and let’s experience Transformation together.

  Principle 1: Every Christian needs a spiritual family. We all need a safe place to know others and be known. Life Groups are far more conducive to the type of spiritual accountability and vulnerability that leads to a changed life.

  Principle 2: Every Christian needs a laboratory for life. The phrase “one another” appears more than fifty times in the Bible. We are to love one another, pray for one another, encourage one another, forgive one another, and stimulate one another to love and to do good deeds. Life groups cultivate an environment where we can have these “one another” experiences in real life.

• Principles of a Prayer Strategy throughout the Campaign

  

  God never intended for His followers to live the Christian life separated from the rest of the body of Christ. Our church provides a safe community to support you in your commitment to be TRANSFORMED.

  1. Declare your need and dependence on God. The campaign can lead to feelings of inadequacy and fear or stress. Lift these concerns up to the Lord. This campaign is His and He wants to empower you and give you fruit beyond what your efforts alone could produce.
  
  
  2. Prayer will be a central focus not just for the Prayer Team, but for the entire Congregation. Don’t underestimate what God can do through even a handful of people who fervently pray.
  
  
  3. Prayer is more caught than taught. Model prayer by committing to more personal prayer time; talking about prayer and its value to others; being excited about the difference that prayer can make; challenging and enlisting others to pray.

• Youth & Young Adults in the Campaign

  

  Our Youth & Young Adults Ministry will meet very Wednesday at 7:00pm and will go through this 50-Day journey of Transformation in their respective groups.
