Family Prayer Group - 1992

GCFI started in 1992 in Inglewood, CA as a small, family prayer group in the home of Pastor Alton Trimble and his wife, Judith.  God blessed this group and it soon grew. 

Purche Elementary - 1993

In 1993, GCFI officially opened its doors as a full service community church at an elementary school in Gardena.

GCFI - Today

As GCFI continued to focus on being a loving family of faith and on meeting needs in the community, it outgrew the school and moved to Carson, CA in 2000. Today, the church has over 50 distinct programs and ministry services that are available free of charge to anyone.                    

GCFI has also been blessed to plant a Spanish-speaking church in Carson, CA and a sister church in Ghana, Africa.
